The course objectives include:
  • types of treatment for the oncology patient,
  • identifying the most common complications of an individual oncology treatment,
  • procedure for insertion of an atraumatic needle into a venous valve (VAP),
  • reflux testing,
  • application of the i.v. therapy,
  • removal of the atraumatic needle,
  • recognition of (VAP) complications,
  • PICC catheter (peripherally inserted central venous catheter).
